The week to end all weeks. Weak!
Journal Entry: Sun Feb 10, 2008, 9:48 PM
So.
I just had THE hugest week of my life. Not in the conventional way where you do stuff all week, and that stuff is both meaningful and useful. More in the way that i went all the way to wollongong and drank for FIVE of the last SEVEN days.
Yes, five times this week i have driven to wollongong, gotten my grog on and either passed out with no pants on, on a sofa bed at the action house, or scabbed a lift home, or slept in someone else's bed while they were away, or slept on the floor. So i shall elaborate:
MONDAY (Day 1 of Partying in Wollongong):
Did the usual: wake up way too late and play Wii for a few hours, then work for 2 hours, then play basketball (where we kicked ass and totally won). Then i went in to wollongong for a cook up at Kim's house. I had no intention of drinking on a monday night, but within 10 minutes of getting there, had already succumbed to peer pressure, with Kerry giving me a shot of Midori and Dougie saying "Bam, just drink it!". See? so i HAD to. I didnt do a great deal of drinking that night, we did eat some grouse food, go on a mcnugget run, watch bill and ted's excellent adventure at 2am-3.30, then me and kerry watched the rain until 5am, and we took kim to the traino at about 5.30 am, with me totally stealing kims bed once we got back.
TUESDAY (No partying):
Woke up at 10.30, so with 5 hours of sleep under my belt, left wollongong, went home and played wii again for most of the day. Then worked in the arvo, and went to see Juno at the movies with Kerry. Seriously, if you have a chance, GO SEE THIS MOVIE. Definitely one of my favourites for the last little bit. Also saw todd, mentioned clam chowder, etc.
WEDNESDAY (Day 2 of Partying in Wollongong):
Did very little in the daytime (quite possibly wii-ing, sleeping and eating). Then proceeded into Wollongong for the Steelers "Six-Pack": a steak and 5 beers for $15. It makes me so very, very happy. So the whole gang was there, eating and getting on it. We then went to the Ox, coonbags, and finally Castros for about an hour. Thank god my sis was in town as well, coz dad came all the way in to wollongong to pick her and her friends up so kerry and i totally scabbed a lift all the way home.
THURSDAY (No partying):
Dont remember doing much at all today. Do remember staying up VERY late into the night (about 3am) chatting on the net in what will now be known as "The great Webcam betrayal of 2008". Don't ask coz I'll never tell.
FRIDAY (Day 3 of Partying in Wollongong):
Went to the basketball after work, and then smashed down a few beers with Dad in the members thing before the game. You have GOT to love free beers. The Hawks lost convincingly, mainly coz they couldnt hold any decent defensive position for the first full quarter. Got a lift home with family.
SATURDAY (Day 4 of Partying in Wollongong):
So today i did very little, because it was rostered to be band practice day. Went to band practice, which turned out like dog balls most of the time. Then impulsively staying in Wollongong, which involved me, dougie and jono, a case of beer, and a pizza until 10.30, and then pool at coonbags, changing the greater union sign from "No country for old men" to, well.. Use you imagination. We removed three letters. Then a quick celebratory drink at the ox, and went to get some Oporto. Except then dougie nearly got me beaten up. Being as drunk as we were, food was a great idea, and then dougie throwing chips into the air and trying to catch them in his mouth was a good idea. Then some testosterone filled redneck came past, and dougie accidently hit him with a flying chip.. which i found hilarious. The redneck hated my laugh and wanted to hit me for throwing a chip at him. What a shithead. So after closely avoiding WW3 everyone went back to the party house for superdrunk ping pong tournament until 4am
SUNDAY (Day 5 of Partying in Wollongong):
I was a little disorientated upon waking on sunday morning, because:
1) I had had only had 4 hours of sleep (definitely not enough),
2) was a bit hungover (too much grog),
3) sleeping on a sofa bed (not my bed)
4) at the action house (not my house)
5) with no pants on (as usual)
6) and greeted by the house's newest housemate as she tried to leave for work (that i hadnt met except while drunk the night before)
Then watched the simpsons for a few hours, came home and played some basketball, and then CRASHED. This week has been intense so far. So you know what? i layed around trying to nap for an hour, then got on up and went to a BBQ at pats house where i... yes i did, get on the piss AGAIN. I was almost destroyed from lack of sleep, and yet i partied on from 6pm till about 2am, with a generally fun and layed back end to a hectic week.
Now its time for work.... ARGH.
